Proper Hydration = Improved Performance

If staying on your skis for a long day on the slopes is your goal, optimal hydration becomes very important. You should find a sports drink that contains a good balance of carbs and electrolytes. 30-60g of carbs per hour (16-32 oz) of Gatorade will provide you with the fuel you need to keep you on your skis and staying strong. You may also want to consume 110-200mg of sodium per 8oz of sports drink as it can enhance the absorption of the fluid and keep your muscles from cramping.
