Three Step Hurdle Drill

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

Mini Hurdles

STARTING POSITION

Standing to side of hurdles

PROCEDURE

  1. Load your hip on the outside leg (the one furthest from the hurdle).
  2. Squat down and leap over the hurdles one foot at a time in a repetitive fashion.
  3. Repeat in the other direction.
  4. Repeat for the suggested number of repetitions.

COACHING KEYS

  • Place hurdles about 2-3 feet apart.
  • Start moving slowly and increase speed as you get comfortable with the exercise.

YOU SHOULD FEEL IT

In your thighs, hips and total body.

Improves lateral coordination and speed.
